About

I’m Kate Brodowska, a multidisciplinary graphic designer, image editor, and visual storyteller based in the Hudson Valley. My work blends editorial refinement with imaginative, detail-driven design, shaped by years of experience across print, digital, branding, and photography.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY New Paltz with a BFA in Graphic Design, a program that strengthened both my creative process and my technical craft. I also served as a commissioner on the Historic Preservation Commission of New Paltz, where I contributed design insight to local heritage projects and helped develop materials that honored the region’s cultural history.

Today, I work with Chronogram Media, creating advertising materials and supporting the visual needs of Hudson Valley’s leading arts and culture publications. This role has honed my ability to work quickly, think conceptually, and deliver high-impact design that meets editorial standards.

Beyond publication work, I’m an active member of HOST (Highland Open Studio Tour), contributing both as a designer and participant in the local arts community. HOST keeps me closely connected to fellow creatives and fuels my interest in storytelling rooted in place, identity, and craft.

My practice spans brand identity, photo retouching, packaging, typography, digital design, and environmental graphics. Whether refining a portrait or building a full visual system, my focus remains the same: thoughtful detail, clear communication, and work that feels polished, intentional, and human.
