Type + Image Fun
This project began as an exercise in making typography visually behave like the words it represents. Each composition required me to interpret the literal meaning of a phrase and translate it into a spatial, structural typographic layout. The forms, weights, and directional lines of the letterforms were pushed until the arrangement itself communicated the message before the viewer ever read the words.
Once the typographic concepts were established, I paired each design with a carefully selected or personally shot photograph to deepen the meaning. The images were chosen to echo the tone, reinforce the visual metaphor, or provide contrast that clarified the message. Together, the type and imagery create a dual–layer narrative: the words communicate verbally while their form and supporting visuals communicate conceptually.
The result is a series of spreads that use minimal color, bold geometric structure, and deliberate negative space to highlight the expressive power of typography. Each layout balances clarity with experimentation, creating modern, high-contrast compositions where type and image work together to shape meaning.
